Option 2:
I’ve been doing good. I haven’t been going out at all unless we’re going to buy the groceries. I feel like this quarantine would be a good time to learn new things but I can’t seem to find any motivation to do much. I want to learn to cook new dishes but every time I go shopping, I never seem to find what I need. I’ve just been lazing around. I hope now that online classes have started, I will get some form of structure and routine in my life because right now I really feel useless.
I wish I did some things before this pandemic. I wish I went outside and hung out with my friends more because it sucks having so much free time and not being able to spend it with my friends. I wish I took everything from school before the break. I left my headphones, jacket, rackets, and other valuable stuff at school. I wish I was more careful with everything because some of those things would be really useful in this time of boredom.
I’m kind of scared because this is such a big change, and I’m all over the place. I don’t know how classes are going to happen because some of my teachers haven’t explained much, and I’m concerned for my grades. I hope this ends quickly.

Stay Safe!
I’m not liking how little information I’m getting for my Global Warming topic. I expected there to be more anti-global warming websites and individuals who really advocate this conspiracy but there really isn’t a lot of information, and the ones I have, they’re often very repetitive.
Another thing I’m having trouble with is writing. I’m not great at writing and in the outline I noticed that I was repeating my information a lot because it was very detailed. My ideas usually come to me out of nowhere and the detail in everything makes it hard for me to actually write something that I’m happy with.
I don’t like reading very much and because this is a research project, I have to read a lot. Sometimes my mind doesn’t process what I read, it I have to read it again, and again. It takes me a lot of time just finding something specific that I need because I dislike reading, and I’m not very good at it.
The global warming is a hoax conspiracy theory is believed by those who think global warming is not real, and that the media is blowing it up too much. There are many prominent people who advocate this theory despite the evidence. Many people’s lack of trust in science and the government has fueled this conspiracy, along with other main events that have occurred, such as the Exxon Mobil controversy. I picked this conspiracy theory because I try my best to help the environment in any way, and I wanted to understand why so many people wouldn’t believe educated, and skilled scientists. To me, the answers are clear as to why people should think global warming is real, but still many people have yet to switch their beliefs.

I believe I was successful in comparing how the two advertisements used the same techniques to show the same message in different ways. I was proud of what I was able to make from a Gillette ad and a Burger King ad.
I learned that depending on how these stylistic techniques are used, it comes out differently. The Gillette ad was more dark, and serious, while Burger King was more bright and comedic, but in their own way, they both succeed in portraying the message that people should change for the better. Even though both of the ads used the same stylistic techniques; audience, contrast, and style, how they came across was completely different.

Our group chose to do a unicorn puppet show to entertain 4th grade girls. We chose to do a puppet show because it’s entertaining, and it’s eye catching for little girls. I feel like it was a good idea to do a puppet show because we were able to be very informal and use easy, kid-friendly language. This way, the kids would be able to understand what was going on, because there’s an introduction. Although, we could’ve improved it very much. The other groups were really creative and made commercial videos, and apps. We could’ve made the puppet show better by having puppet socks, and improving our script.

I don’t really consider myself to be a writer because I don’t write formally very often. When I do write, itâs almost always for a school assignment. I donât like to write, and Iâm not very good at formal writing. Unconsciously, I do write a lot. I write to-do lists, I write text messages, and I write school assignments.
I write to-do lists everyday. I write down all the homework I have for each class. I write down my meetings, appointments, and any work outside school. I do this everyday because I’m very forgetful, and it’s easy to see what I have to do in a list. It also feels really good to cross something out from my list after I’ve completed it, because it feels like I’ve done something important.

Another form of writing I do is texting. I text people everyday. I text people to convey a message. I always need to inform people of something, whether it’s telling my mom that I am coming late, or helping my friends with work. I text people very frequently. I write to convey my thoughts to someone, whether to myself, or someone else.
My most frequent form of writing is for my school assignments. In every class I have, I am always writing, digitally, or on paper. I write notes down, so I can go back later and study. My teachers assign me work where I have to write something related to the unit we are learning, and almost every time, I have to write something. Something as small as my name, or something as big as a research paper. When I’m assigned to write by my teachers is the only time I do formal writing.

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.
Youâre going to publish a post today. Donât worry about how your blog looks. Donât worry if you havenât given it a name yet, or youâre feeling overwhelmed. Just click the âNew Postâ button, and tell us why youâre here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
Youâre not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another â but itâs good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Canât think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a âcrappy first draftâ. Anne makes a great point â just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When youâre ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blogâs focus â writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is âzerotohero,â so other new bloggers can find you, too.
