Blog Post no.3

I believe I was successful in comparing how the two advertisements used the same techniques to show the same message in different ways. I was proud of what I was able to make from a Gillette ad and a Burger King ad.

I learned that depending on how these stylistic techniques are used, it comes out differently. The Gillette ad was more dark, and serious, while Burger King was more bright and comedic, but in their own way, they both succeed in portraying the message that people should change for the better. Even though both of the ads used the same stylistic techniques; audience, contrast, and style, how they came across was completely different.

  1. I also believe that I did well on comparing the my two advertisements. The two advertisements I compared were also very different but I think I was able to compare them well, like you did.

  2. I was very intrigued by what you said about how two ads can come across so differently, even though they both use the same techniques. You would never think to compare a Gillet ad with a Burger King ad, just from how different they are. Good job πŸ™‚

  3. When you talked about using the same stylistic techniques but the result came out differently, I was nodding my head in agreement. For my two ads, they also used the same techniques but they both had a different central idea, similar to your two ads.

  4. I like how you compared them even though they used a way different approach. And you still found a way to compare them on how in their own way on how people should change for the better. Very impressive
